Yes folks… 16 days since my departure from the use of analog (tobacco) cigarettes.  That’s about $144 ago, and I’m still working on my $150 starter kit.  Tomorrow at noon, I’ll have reached the point where my smoking habit would have cost what my starter kit did (with 43 Cartridges) and I still have 10 full cartridges left which I now estimate will last me about 8 or 9 days.  I’ve also placed my second order from my supplier (see link on the sidebar) for another 40 cartridges, or about 32 to 35 days based on my current usage, for a total cost of $90 CDN landed!  It works out to about $3 per day compared to $9, or a 67% savings over analogs.  And it’s healthier!  So what’s this about the Dressage show?

I’ve done a few Western Performance and Dressage shows in the past, and have found that I’ll take some photos, light a smoke, take some more photos, take a few drags off that smoke and so on.  At a typical full day Dressage show I’ve been known to kill 20 to 30 cigarettes, plus what I smoke at night while enjoying a few beers and visiting with others that are attending the show.  My last show cost me 3 full packs of analogs or just short of $30 for the two days!  Now, with the e-cig, I still have a few drags, but of course e-cigs don’t burn while you’re not using them so there’s no more waste, and the cartridges actually replaced far more than the rated 12 to 15 analogs – ending up being worth more than 20!  Just goes to show that there’s more value in e-cigs than you might have thought.

So I’m waiting now for the order confirmation of shipping (it has already been processed and was just ordered Friday) and the wait for about 8 days or so for my new supply of cartridges.  This time I ordered 20 menthol in black and 20 cherry in brown so I can tell them apart and I know so far that I enjoy these flavours quite a bit.  And now that I know how they work, I’m also having a much better experience with my e-cig than my first few cartridges.

Oh… and one more point in closing.  I have had a few people now contact me through some might odd routes.  Please folks…  hit my main site at http://njw.ca for full contact information, or just leave your comments here and I’ll be notified quickly of the posting.  Please feel free to share your thoughts and questions, and don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed to ensure that you get the latest news as it happens.  The experiences that I go through might save you some time, money and trouble in the future.
